Iyeoka is one of a number of full time driven performance poets who are championing the spoken-word scene, and proving that poetry can smack a power punch on a bigger stage than the coffeehouses the genre has sprouted from since the turn of the millennium thanks to opportunities such as Def Poetry Jam on HBO and National Slam Poetry Competitions.
